About Us
SEATONmusic (or Seaton and District Music Society) was founded in 1951
Seaton is an attractive
Victorian seaside town on the beautiful World Heritage coast of East Devon.
SEATONmusic, founded in 1951 as The Seaton & District Music Club,
is a registered charity (Number 271521) with some 150 subscribers
and affiliated to
Making Music (The National Federation of Music Societies).
SEATONmusic presents an annual season of six professional concerts
between October and March - plus a seventh in May or June - in
Seaton Town Hall,
a spacious and attractive hall with good acoustics in the centre of the town.
A SEATONmusic Season Ticket gives a reduced price for the seven concerts.
SEATONmusic is the proud owner of its own Steinway grand piano
which has received much praise from visiting musicians.
Please note, you do not have to be a Season Ticket holder to be
part of our audience!
You are very welcome to join us for individual concerts and you can buy tickets
£12 (free for under-18s and students) -
in advance at Eve Gallery, Fore Street, Seaton,
or at the Town Hall on the night.
BUT.. if you intend to come to more than four concerts - you should
buy a Season Ticket and enjoy a saving on each concert!
There are also occasional free pre-concert talks in the upstairs room at the
Town Hall.
There is a licensed bar at all the Club's concerts.
Wine and soft drinks are available at very reasonable prices before the concert
and during the interval.
The main concert hall is accessible to wheelchairs but, regrettably,
for the time being the upstairs room is not.
