About me

As you look through the questions on this site, you will get a fairly clear picture about the things I like and am interested in. (By the way, if you read this, you will get a fairly clear idea of some of the questions on the site.) As I get keen on something, I'm very eager for others to enjoy it the same so I generally make up a question or two about them. One of my great loves in children's literature and most of the questions about children's books will be from ones that I have read. I'm sure you will be able to pick up more about me as you look around.

My job is teaching, I work in Devon with class of 8 and 9 year old children. I am a committed Christian and so, I am a member of an evangelical church in Honiton. I have worked with young people in a number of ways, running a youth group at my church and helping to run a camp for 11-14 in the summer. As I have mentioned on the first page, in all these capacities I have created and organised quizzes as well as for other groups. In the summer, the Evangelical Movement of Wales runs a Bible conference in Aberystwyth, extratime is meetings at the conference for 15 to 25ish year olds and I really enjoy creating a quiz for the people who attend extratime.

I was born in York, England, but moved to Wales when I was 13. Having lived in Wales and tried very poorly to learn the language, that is where my heart is. England is very nice, but it's not Wales. One branch of my family hails from Reading, and being mad keen on sport I follow Reading Football Club. It was superb to see them promoted to the Premiership for the first time in May 2006.
